What Counts as a Dental Emergency?
Contact us right away if you experience:
● Severe or persistent toothache
● Broken, cracked, or chipped teeth
● Knocked-out tooth
● Loose or lost filling/crown
● Swelling or abscess (sign of infection)
● Injury to the mouth, gums, or jaw
What to Do Before You Arrive
● Toothache – Rinse your mouth with warm water and use a cold compress to ease pain. Avoid placing aspirin directly on the tooth.
● Knocked-out tooth – Handle the tooth by the crown (not the root), rinse gently with water, and place it back in the socket if possible. If not, keep it in a container of milk and bring it with you.
● Broken tooth – Rinse your mouth with warm water and save any pieces, if possible.
● Swelling – Use a cold compress on the outside of your face. Call us immediately, as swelling may signal infection.
